BRIDGETON – A judge on Thursday halved bail for a Delsea teacher from Salem County charged with carrying on a months-long sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student.
Daniel L. Harvey Sr., 41, of Pilesgrove Township, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with sexual assault, child endangerment and official misconduct. Harvey was arrested at his parents’ home, where he has been staying while a divorce from his wife is finalized, authorities said. Read more »

PLUMSTED TWP. The Delsea Regional High School softball team ran into an unknown opponent during Tuesday’s Group III state semifinal Central Jersey champ Middletown South and could not find an answer, falling 9-0.
The Crusaders struggled at the plate, posting only three hits, but even more uncharacteristically, they had a tough time defensively. The Crusaders committed a handful of errors, some of which led to multiple-run innings for the Eagles in the third, fourth, and fifth. Read more »
